RAWW Cattle Company owner, Brandon Casaus, is a fifth generation native New Mexican farmer and rancher.  His family ranching roots are deep, dating back to the 1800's. His love of animals and the outdoors, and a burning passion for rodeo and bucking bulls began at a very young age.

  His story is a true testament of “ Follow your dreams, work hard, and make it reality!” As a young boy his passion for the cattle industry began to grow as he watched his father and grandfather hard at work on the family farm and ranch.  He recalls waking up while the moon and stars were still in the night sky, heading to the ranch in the back seat of the old ranch truck. The mission was to beat the sunrise, in the words of his grandfather “if you don’t beat sunrise, it’s a wasted day!”  Arriving at the ranch the first thing was to roll the windows down, honk the horn and start calling the cattle in.  If done right, the herd beat us to the old ranch house, racing over the mountain excited to see us. Unaware of the upcoming day of branding.

  As a young boy he would watch each calf run into the chute and couldn't wait to witness the branding, and preparing to smell that distinctive odor every true cowboy loves. His dream was wanting one day to be doing what his father and grandfather were doing. As he became older his responsibilities grew, he recalls that first “big” job on branding day was the all important  gate manager.   As the years went on and the older he became he would eventually be in charge,  as his father and grandfather became his assists.

  As in most ranch families the tradition to support local rodeo was a yearly event. From this blossomed the love for bull riding.  At a very young age, he began following some of the legendary,  ground breaking bull riders. He remembers his first life changing experience was getting to meet Tuff Hedeman and Cody Lambert at the age of three, as they had an autograph signing at what was then the old Western Warehouse in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  That day would leave a lifelong impression on him.  Growing up Brandon and his grandfather watched the PBR every weekend and although they cheered for all the riders, Brandon really cheered for the bulls. As he was growing up he would tell his parents from a young age he wanted to own bucking bulls. His parents didn’t think much of it, because they were in the beef cattle business.   The day came after graduating from College he came home with his first set of bucking bull calves.

  Brandon has continued to grow his herd and breeding program with top of the line genetics.  His goal is building the next superior bucking bull athletes.  His dream is to work with, and compete with the top stock contractors in the world. He believes anything is possible if you work hard, have true faith,  and solid morals.  Brandon feels that any and all of your dreams can become a reality.   So we welcome you to RAWW Cattle Company,  keep following us, and enjoy the ride!
